Uno de 50 Jewelry

Get a sneak peek at the Uno de 50 trunk show with the collection in store now. The handcrafted jewelry is plated in Silver or Gold and incorporates Swarovski Elements crystals and leather into the looks. Shop now to find your next favorite wear-everyday style, or a perfect gift for someone special. We love to stack Uno de 50 bracelets, the mix of textures and shapes create endless styling possibilities.

The brand was created in the late 90’s by a team of designers striving to create something unique. The first Uno de 50 collections limited production to fifty pieces of each design. Over the years, as the brand grew and demand increased, they produced larger quantities, but continue to create editions of 50 for special pieces each season. The line is completely handmade in Spain with great attention to detail. Uno de 50’s signature process uses a metal alloy cast in hand carved molds. The cast pieces are plated with 15 micron Sterling Silver or 3 micron Gold. Today the line is sold in 40 countries and has been featured in Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire.

Chic Outfits with Winter Sale Items

Now that the holidays have come and gone, the last thing you should be doing is shopping, right?  Wrong!  The sale section of Art Effect is packed with amazing, guilt-free pieces that will help you step up your style in 2015.  It was a difficult decision, but I’ve put together three amazing outfits using my favorite sale pieces.  The prices are low, but the style is high.  Merry Christmas to you!

Outfit #1

sale-outfit-1

  • Sam & Lavi top, was $156, now $117
  • Honey Punch skirt, was $68, now $51
  • Just USA vest, was $60, now $18
  • Necklace $45

I love the cool contrast in this look—it’s feminine and edgy and on-trend all at once.  The floral top adds sweetness to the metallic pleather skirt, but the denim vest keeps it casual.  A great statement necklace with colors echoing those in the top ties it all together.

I’d finish off the outfit with some nude flats or wedges or light brown boots—perfect for brunch with the girls.  While it’s cold, you could also rock it with tights and booties.  However, I think the look is best kept as something to look forward to when the weather warms up—dark tights could weigh it down.

All of these items are also super versatile.  The vest would look great over a floral dress or maxi, the top with skinny or boyfriend jeans, and the skirt with almost any color top.  Of course, that statement necklace dazzles with everything.

Outfit #2

sale-outfit-2

  • Angel Eye dress, was $94, now $47
  • Angela William hat, was $52, now $39
  • Bracelet was $48, now $24

I’m head over heels for this dress—it’s under $50 and it looks like it came off of a recent Dolce & Gabbana runway!  The print is fabulous, the fit-and-flare shape is so flattering, and the long sleeves keep it chic.  It can be worn for dressy occassions or for every day.
I’ve styled a casual, boho-chic look here.  A brown floppy hat is effortless looking and on-trend, and this bracelet combines feminine and earthy vibes (just like the dress!) with its high shine and cute fabric tassel.  Finish the look with some tall, brown boots and a crossbody bag.
This frock would also look great with a thick, brown belt or knit tights and ankle booties. For a dressier occasion, pair it with some tall wedge sandals and big earrings or a long, layered necklace and you’re ready to go!

Outfit #3

sale-outfit-3

  • Dance & Marvel sweatshirt, was $78, now $39
  • Henry & Belle jeans, were $148, now $111
  • Wanted sneakers, were $50, now $25
  • Earrings, $20

Let me introduce your new favorite weekend outfit!  This is no average sweatshirt.  It’s made of trendy neoprene, has metallic mesh detailing along the torso, and is a cool floral print.  Keep all the focus on this statement piece with a great pair of black skinny jeans (for an extra-stylish look, cuff them at the ankles) and sleek accessories.

I love simply chic, geometric gold earrings that mimic the netting with this top.  Their simplicity plays off the wild sweatshirt in an unexpected, chic way.  Metallic slip-on sneakers fit in with both the sparkle and the athletic vibe of the rest of the look.  You could also finish the outfit with some flat black ankle boots or ballet flats.

As wild as it is, you can still wear this sweatshirt a number of different ways.  It would look chic with a black mini skirt and boots, or with a white button down peeking out from underneath.  You could also rock it with pleather leggings or distressed blue jeans.

I was honestly overwhelmed by all the great pieces on the sale rack at Art Effect right now, so I’d recommend heading over ASAP and making some more outfits of your own!  Happy shopping, everyone!

Guest Post: Katy’s Summer Picks

As a fashion lover/blogger from Chicago, I know a day browsing at Art Effect is always fruitful.

The pieces this season really bring a smile to your face, are on-trend but still unique, and perfect for summer.  While it was hard to choose, these are my top 5 must-haves for the season.

1. A fun, versatile dress

A bright, bold printed dress is a must for summer. There are a whole host of options at Art Effect, but this one is my favorite. The tribal print bodice is really on-trend, and where the waistline hits is very flattering. The skirt is super comfy too! This dress works for everything from dressier events (with black heeled sandals) to a casual day out (with flats or flip-flops and a jean jacket).

2. A cute crossbody bag

I’m in love with this little bag, and the hands-free style is perfect for a night out on the town or a day outdoors. With the best pieces, it’s the details that make them exceptional. The zipper pull of this bag says “have fun” and it comes with a note inside bearing the same summer-ready message. The zipper itself brings a pop of neon yellow and the bag is lined with heart-printed fabric. It just brings a smile to my face!

3. A Cool Crop Top

I’m loving crop tops, one of summer’s biggest trends, paired with everything from daisy dukes for a festival, boyfriend jeans for a day out shopping or a high-waisted skirt for a chic event. This one has structure and an awesome print to make it extra fashion-forward, and it’s not too revealing—a fun way to try the trend (plus it looks great with the bag!).

Minkpink Crop Top, $60

 4. A denim vest

A frayed and faded denim vest takes the simplest summer outfits into more stylish territory.  Plus, it’s as versatile as your favorite jeans:  throw it on with shorts, your go-to sundress, or a midi skirt.  You can also totally personalize it—add pins collected on all your summer adventures, or major statement jewelry for cool contrast.

Others Follow Vest, $60

5. A Bright Pendant Necklace

Throwing a pendant necklace on over any casual outfit adds a fun, effortless feel.  I love these bright tassels.  I took the pink one above home with me, but there are a great variety of colors in store.  In the summer I always look for jewelry that can have a personal feel, that I can wear with every outfit.  These necklaces fit the bill, as do all of Art Effect’s delicate bracelets and rings.  These tassels also add pop to a simple dress, and if you’re looking for more shots of color, Art Effect has so many bold statement necklaces it was hard for me to choose just one!

Single Tassel Necklace, $38

Every summer, I like to infuse my wardrobe with some new staples that I’ll wear all season and that will give all my old favorites a refresh.  I love these five pieces, and since I had so much fun on my shopping day, here’s another for good luck:

6. Loose printed pants (Bonus!)

katy-6Ranking with the crop top as one of the biggest trends right now are slouchy printed pants.  These are loose and comfy to keep you cool (in every sense of the word), but still have some shape.  The print is bold and summery, and personally I prefer a floral print like this one on flowy pants (as opposed to the commonly seen tribal pattern) for boho novices like myself.  This may be one of the comfiest trends ever, and these pants are a great way to try it.

Ella Moss Pants, $158

Wishing you all a stylish summer, and happy shopping!

Jewls & Jeans Trunk Show

About Henry & Belle
More than jeans, Henry & Belle is an endearing love story about family, fashion and philanthropy… Henry Mann and his wife Belle started designing in the garment district of Chicago in 1931. Inspired by Belle’s confident character and chic sophistication, Henry designed each style with Belle as his muse. They always focused on the highest quality fabrics and finishes. As their success grew, so did their commitment to give back to their community. Today the Mann family continues to fulfill this tradition of craftsmanship and humanitarianism. By wearing Henry & Belle jeans, you help raise awareness and funds for diverse issues we support in your local community.

About Aviva Rose Jewelry
A love of jewelry and an instinctive ability to create is what led Pamela Cohen to where she is today: the designer, founder, owner and creator of Aviva Rose. Living in the suburbs of Chicago, Pamela uses her passion and enthusiasm to find unique and unusual pieces from around the world. She gives much of the credit of her unique creativity to her two muses: her daughters Franki Aviva and Gabi Rose. The name of her line represents that commitment and love, and her desire to continually create a variety of magnificent pieces seems boundless.

Hope to see you there!
