We love the weightless lip colors and sleek packaging from Kosås, available in the shop now. Formulated with antioxidants, green tea, rosehip and grape seed oil to heal cells and fight free radicals. Mango and Shea butters are added to heal, moisturize and protect lips, while preventing formation of fine lines. Sweet orange oil gives the line a luxurious scent. Kosås is free of parabens, phthalates, and sulfates. Stop in to see the whole line, here are colors we’ve featured above:
Indigo is the color of the season. We’re crushing on blue for spring and summer, mixing blue jeans with chambray or indigo prints you can’t go wrong with the color of the sea and sky.

Now that the holidays have come and gone, the last thing you should be doing is shopping, right? Wrong! The sale section of Art Effect is packed with amazing, guilt-free pieces that will help you step up your style in 2015. It was a difficult decision, but I’ve put together three amazing outfits using my favorite sale pieces. The prices are low, but the style is high. Merry Christmas to you!
- Sam & Lavi top, was $156, now $117
- Honey Punch skirt, was $68, now $51
- Just USA vest, was $60, now $18
- Necklace $45
I love the cool contrast in this look—it’s feminine and edgy and on-trend all at once. The floral top adds sweetness to the metallic pleather skirt, but the denim vest keeps it casual. A great statement necklace with colors echoing those in the top ties it all together.
I’d finish off the outfit with some nude flats or wedges or light brown boots—perfect for brunch with the girls. While it’s cold, you could also rock it with tights and booties. However, I think the look is best kept as something to look forward to when the weather warms up—dark tights could weigh it down.
All of these items are also super versatile. The vest would look great over a floral dress or maxi, the top with skinny or boyfriend jeans, and the skirt with almost any color top. Of course, that statement necklace dazzles with everything.
- Angel Eye dress, was $94, now $47
- Angela William hat, was $52, now $39
- Bracelet was $48, now $24
I’m head over heels for this dress—it’s under $50 and it looks like it came off of a recent Dolce & Gabbana runway! The print is fabulous, the fit-and-flare shape is so flattering, and the long sleeves keep it chic. It can be worn for dressy occassions or for every day.
I’ve styled a casual, boho-chic look here. A brown floppy hat is effortless looking and on-trend, and this bracelet combines feminine and earthy vibes (just like the dress!) with its high shine and cute fabric tassel. Finish the look with some tall, brown boots and a crossbody bag.
This frock would also look great with a thick, brown belt or knit tights and ankle booties. For a dressier occasion, pair it with some tall wedge sandals and big earrings or a long, layered necklace and you’re ready to go!
- Dance & Marvel sweatshirt, was $78, now $39
- Henry & Belle jeans, were $148, now $111
- Wanted sneakers, were $50, now $25
- Earrings, $20
Let me introduce your new favorite weekend outfit! This is no average sweatshirt. It’s made of trendy neoprene, has metallic mesh detailing along the torso, and is a cool floral print. Keep all the focus on this statement piece with a great pair of black skinny jeans (for an extra-stylish look, cuff them at the ankles) and sleek accessories.
I love simply chic, geometric gold earrings that mimic the netting with this top. Their simplicity plays off the wild sweatshirt in an unexpected, chic way. Metallic slip-on sneakers fit in with both the sparkle and the athletic vibe of the rest of the look. You could also finish the outfit with some flat black ankle boots or ballet flats.
As wild as it is, you can still wear this sweatshirt a number of different ways. It would look chic with a black mini skirt and boots, or with a white button down peeking out from underneath. You could also rock it with pleather leggings or distressed blue jeans.
I was honestly overwhelmed by all the great pieces on the sale rack at Art Effect right now, so I’d recommend heading over ASAP and making some more outfits of your own! Happy shopping, everyone!

Cozy knits, rich textures and jeweled tones are our fall fashion inspirations. Shades of wine, aubergine and brick mix with autumn neutrals of indigo, navy and black. Prints abound this season, stripes and plaids mix with florals and tribal inspired motifs. Try a cropped top with high waisted maxis or jeans. Matching sets still feel fresh and are a great alternative to wearing a dress. Skinny jeans are a perfect balance to oversized sweaters, but we’re loving the new flared silhouettes as well. Find more inspiration on our FW14 pinterest board.
We love Henry and Belle Jeans for their fit, attention to detail and premium denim fabrications. Find your perfect fit, they have a beautiful range of style and washes. The belle effect, this original Chicago brand is as dedicated to craftsmanship as it is to humanitarianism. A portion of every Henry & Belle sale is set aside for charitable causes, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Clothes4Souls, and Girls on the Run Chicago.
Mini Micro Flair Rustic Wash Jean The maximum stretch denim hugs your curves and the mini flair silhouette beautifully balances your proportions for a flattering line. Five pocket styling in a rustic, medium wash. The straight waistband sits just below the waist. While we think this subtle, softer take on the flare is particularly good for curvy girls, this Henry and Belle jean is super flattering on many figures. Shop it.
Super Skinny Pitch Black Ankle Jean Henry and Belle’s Super Skinny Ankle jean is perfect for petites who want a fitted look without the hassle of hemming. The straight waistband sits low on the hips. Soft, light-weight stretch denim in pitch black is smooth fitting for a true second skin style. Shop it.
Lila Straight Jean in Authentic Indigo Satin Denim Henry and Belle’s Lila Straight cut is a great alternative to skinny jeans. This classic style looks great on every figure. The Authentic wash has a light distressing with natural style whiskering on beautifully soft indigo denim. Shop it.
Everyone who lives in the midwest knows that the need for transitional dressing extends far beyond the start of the season. Creative layering and a thoughtful use of color can keep you stylish and comfortable on cool nights in August through scorching September days. We love this tunic from Tolani as the base for a casual transitional look. The rich jewel tone floral print keeps it summery and the lightweight fabric is perfect for layering. Pop it over jeans and add one of our two-ply cashmere ponchos from Claudia Nichole for cooler days.

Pitchfork takes over Union Park July 18th— 20th and Lollapalooza descends on Grant Park August 1st- 3rd. Alongside the music, the fashion scene is always major at Chicago’s biggest festivals. Stand out from the crowd and be seen with a free spirited look that shows off your personality.
Here are two festival styles we think are perfect:
Outfit details: The Bali tie dye strapless jumpsuit from Velvet is perfection for summer adventures. Stay cool while moving easily through crowds, need to climb a tree? No problem in this one piece wonder! The perfect accompaniment to bare shoulders is a bold statement earring. The Nameda Dangle Earrings by Catherine Page have the right amount of color and sparkle to stand out. Pack your daily essentials in a roomy tote, the slouchy Champagne Shimmer Cava Tote by Monserat De Lucca is a perfect pick in luxurious suede. The color and texture in this bracelet stack is major! We started with a Hook Wrap Bracelet by Giles and Brother, added a glittering beaded cuff from Huichol, and finish with a couple of tasseled bracelets!
Outfit details: This linen shirtdress from CP Shades gets a grungy feel when paired with a short boot. Tie a lightweight sweater around your waist and you’re set if you need to cover your shoulders from the sun, or if the evening turns cool. This black pullover in an open weave from Wooden Ships is the perfect weight. Add one special piece to elevate the look, the 15MM Meridian Cuff by Sarah Mcguire Jewelry is studded with Diamonds. Keep the hair off your face with a turban tied scarf and add a great pair of sunglasses. We finished the outfit with a delicate beaded butterfly necklace from Miguel Ases.
