Brighten up your space with a new scented candle, it’s an easy way to revive your environment.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler gave another hilarious performance as hosts last night, but we’re usually more interested in what everyone is wearing on the red carpet. Bold solid color was a major trend this year. My favorite look of the night was Lupita Nyong’o in looking so sleek and modern in a chic red Ralph Lauren gown. Lena Dunham was a stand out in a surprisingly flattering, bright yellow dress from Zac Posen, and Caitlin FitzGerald was retro perfection in a baby blue high-low gown by Emilia Wickstead.
Another surprise this year were sleek dresses with modern embellishments and texture. Elisabeth Moss looks killer in this sheer black and oxblood sequined J. Mendel dress. The jeweled embellishments and lace insert on Zoe Saldana’s Prabal Gurung dress feel very fresh and new. Lizzy Caplan looks amzing this sleeck black coumn with metallic chevron detailing from Emilio Pucci.
And then there are the traditionalists, these are our favorite old Hollywood looks of the night. Julianna Margulies was stunning in a black and gold dress by Andrew Gn and Michelle Dockery looks like royalty in her full Oscar de la Renta gown. Cate Blanchett always looks amazing, and her pick of black lace Armani Couture was no exception.
